Second 'The Master' Trailer

The Weinstein Company has released the second trailer for director Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master. Philip Seymour Hoffman stars as the title character, a man who starts his own religious belief system in the 1950s that keeps growing and growing in popularity. Take a look at the latest footage from this upcoming drama, which also stars Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Laura Dern, and Jesse Plemons.

The Master was released September 14th, 2012 and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Price Carson, Mike Howard, Sarah Shoshana David, Bruce Goodchild, Matt Hering, Dan Anderson, Andrew Koponen. The film is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

    @bawnian-dexeus Are you referring to Phoenix? If so, I agree. That last shot of him in the suit walking down the parking lot looks exactly like my grandfather did in the 50s -- that slender, hunched shoulders look. Filmmaking at its most authentic.

    @narrator I noticed that, too, however, PTA has always been a fan of wide angles, long takes and expressionistic lighting -- it is his style. Also the use of color, e.g., the blues and the reds in Punch Drunk Love.

    PTA is really going in a different direction with this feature. From what I've seen of the actors performances thus far, to the music in the trailer, to the old fashioned lighting and cinematography, this just screams powerful and weird.
