@ghostman Haha. That one would deserve the "sick" quote.

@ghostman: idkyi just didn't scroll down the page. :P

[I like that I was lazy enough to substitute 3 words with 3 letters, with 2 single letter words thrown in, though this sentence explaining it rules out the laziness factor]

@bawnian-dexeus: No, somehow I got this Robert Mapplethorpe photo into the conversation, and we debated that since it was of a nude minor that how it could be publicly distributed without being considered child porn, despite the parents and kid gave complete consent, as regardless of the context, if a pedophile or registered child sex offender had copies of the photos for their pleasure, they could technically be considered child porn. But then I forgot who the photographer was and that caused the debate to lengthen as I couldn't look up the answer to this debate, and when I did remember him I still couldn't find the answer.

@slysnide About 3 hours ago i mentioned to @bawnian-dexeus if for some reason they used a child to create this poster would it be child pornography, and then you started talking about this guy who took pics of naked little boys, and only nude men..then died of AIDS. Soon, conspiracy struck to theorize that the man (who's name is Robert) was doing something 'fishy' on those photograph sets....Nirvana showed up and I thought to myself "Smells like Teen Spirit" haha :D

Wait are we still debating if this body belongs to a child? O.o

I feel completely indifferent to this poster beside the fact that I wonder how "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" poster got censored for a nipple and how this is almost a vagina in your face.
    Not complaining though

@ghostman I think what @slysnide is trying to say is that if it's used in a legal sense, it's okay? Like Nirvana's album cover to Nevermind.

@slysnide Good idea about filming friends reactions! Actually, this has been the longest convo we'd had on here :) But I'm sure I'll remind you about it tomorrow, and about that AIDS thing..who knows, maybe he WAS doing something behind the curtains when taking photos ;)

@ghostman: I got it. It was Robert Mapplethorpe. A photographer who made B&W portraits of nude guys and died of AIDS in '89, except the kid I mentioned wasn't 14, maybe half that. Still no data on how that's legal, but I'll figure it out eventually or forget about this conversation by tomorrow morning. :P [I guess that's a good reason to watch it, as long as you got a camcorder to post their reactions online-:P]

@slysnide Yep, it is. I guess it's that sick, ;) I've been waiting to see this movie ever since I saw the first one, not that I'm sadistic, it's just you know, to have a good time watching it with friends at a party to see who gets sick first lol!

  18. slysnide

@ghostman: Most definitely, but publicly distributing the photos I'd think would be illegal. This would be so much easier if I could just recall the photographer's name. I'm gonna google famous photographers and see if any names ring bells so I can get to the bottom of this, cause this is gonna bug me now.

@slysnide I'm sure the child's parents were there with him, and the photographer had to get written/signed permission to take nude photos of an under-aged person right?

  20. slysnide

@ghostman: Context is irrelevant when dealing with minors. Kept in a private setting sure, but for the artist to make bank showcasing the photo seems really sketchy. There had to be something else to it. I know the picture, can picture it right now, and in the few legal courses I've taken I can't imagine how he got away with that, as regardless of the photographer's intentions, if someone was jacking off to copies of those photos they'd be charged with possession of child porn rather than for getting horny over a photo.

@slysnide That's just an art class though, I'm sure the photo was presented as art, and in no means shown in a pornographic nature. I like @ROFLitschristian 's idea of having a bare back female with a super-imposed centipede 'spin' that would be cool to see!

  23. slysnide

@ghostman: Ideally yes, but not necessarily. There was a famous photographer--can't recall his name--who had a 14yr old boy pose nude standing atop an armchair. It was shown to students in a class as part of a slideshow, and no pornography charges were mentioned. I'm sure the instructor for the Art Appreciation course would've mentioned something about it as I recall not all students being comfortable with the photo. Not to mention it wouldn't be shown in a classroom setting on a slide show about "fine art" if it were classified as child pornography.

@bawnian-dexeus Well, what if they used a kid? wouldn't that be considered child pornography?

@SpeedyEric: THANK YOU. I don't get the obsession with such bullsh*t either. They should spend their undeserved production budget on making something original for a change. Or better, something actually scary rather than the same repulsive & recycled idea which has already been DONE TO DEATH A MILLION TIMES and then some. I bet you & I could make something better, just pitch a better idea right here than this crap. And it's a SEQUEL no less!!! To be followed by a confirmed third and final installment. Based on the wikipedia synopsis, I don't see what else they can do to "top" themselves as they're under the delusion of thinking that's what they're achieving here. This sh*t is just as much of a pathetic attempt at a horror film as the original "Blair Witch" (1999), except that at least TRIED to do something, but failed miserably--See that's the first time I've given "Blair Witch" credit for anything, so the contrasting film has to be pretty terrible to earn that merit.
