While the first film was a bit overrated, I agree with @messenger, and I'll say that this looks to be an interesting and hopefully worthwhile venture.

I'll watch it. The first Hangover did somethings differently than previous comedies, doing situations differently and what not. I have a feeling the writers know what they are doing and will give us some surprises along the way.

@2movieguys - i didn't like the first one either. this one looks identical. same premise, different location. and instead of a tiger it was a monkey. some of the jokes were funny, but all-in-all not something i'm excited about. probably a red box rental (at best).

This actually looks pretty damn good. I'm actually hoping that this may even top the first. Stranger things HAVE happened.

@MadJohnsonProductions I thought the monkey was replacing the tiger who showed up out of the blue when they woke up. But then again it might me a mesh of two characters. :p

Lemme pull a @narrator and say this about Hangover Part II mirroring Part I... as long as the execution is smooth and the laughs consistent like the original, the plot doesn't have to be original. I like that several of the jokes made in the trailer reference the 1st movie's antics, but I also hope the entire movie isn't one big 'remember what happened in Vegas' gag.

So to sum up: Plot can be similar, but bring on new jokes as well. Do that, and it'll be just as fun.
