Rubber Trailer #2

Hmm, well, I was going to respond witha WTF!!!! term, but once I saw it, well, I can't really bash it. I mean, I see it as a fun college project for media arts students or a crude Micheline tires commercial where the big white dude will come out and say "The Dark Side is Strong within YOU!!!! BUAHAHAHAHAH" Know what I mean? However, greenlighting it and funding it seriously by a hollywood studio is beyond me

The Narrator: The Better Man
I enjoyed the trailer. It must have been a parody of how folks take some films seriously. As a short film I could see it working, but not a feature length film. The reason I can laugh at things like this is because this has no expectations from anyone and it has nothing to live up to. Granted I won't ever watch this pathetic thing, but I can laugh (can't say the same for a certain films coming up). :P

Hey now... the first Child's Play, however unrealistic it was, was a great movie. It had a fun energy to it :P

Diaigma
It doesn't matter who makes it or if it's based on something. It's about a killer tire. Killer tire . . . from a car. Child's Play is more realistic than this and that was dumb too :D

Dan
@Courtney If it doesn't take itself seriously AT ALL, I may watch it stoned or something :P

Yep. I find Killer Tomatoes completely idiotic, but it is a guilty pleasure of a laugh :P
So little you don't know about me, @Leng - I'm peeved with Pixar at present ;)

Dan
@Leng Haha. Actually, I'm not as much a fan of Pixar anymore as you may think. Cars 2 has put them in a negative light for me for the time being. I'm sure they'll redeem themselves with Brave, but we shall see next year (2012).

Maybe if they put a cape on it and some blue and red spandex you'll dig it. Or maybe make it into a Pixar movie, and that will appeal more to your sensibilities.

It probably gives you what you want in a movie in a unexpected way, which makes you like it more. It seems like it is a movie that is making fun of itself's seriousness or film's seriousness.

Dan
As I said, it will have its cult following. This is confirmed by what @Leng just said :P

A psychopathic tire . . . nope, still laughing :P

Wow...you people lack imagination. Maybe if it was a comic book first you would all jump on the band wagon. I'll laugh when this comes out and everybody here is so 180'd they deny they ever laughed at it.

You know, this might become one of those legendarily awful movies that has a weird cult following after it's released. I can picture that :P

If this was a short film, it would make perfect sense. But to make it a feature film, makes no sense.
