I have to agree with average joe, if this is a prequel they should be speaking and communicating verbally with The Man; unless this film is some $h!t.

I am blown away by how good his looks. I know the originals are super cheese but i love them all the same and it looks like this will be a worthy adaption of that story.

this is not related to tim burton planet of the ape 2001. or the original planet of the ape series. This is a Reboot that takes elements from the earlier movies to create an original origin story. is almost like prequel

There are 6 billion human on the planet, I just don't think a few hundred monkey can take over, a few hundred Transformers maybe, but not monkey, haha...

  17. Chenga12

@zanyzap , agreed, its not the same without the talking apes. I just want Caesar to make his speech at the end like in Conquest.

The whole thing looks good, but the cgi monkeys..... Everybody knows they are not real.

    "Evolution becomes revolution."

Just about the coolest tagline I've heard in a while :P

  20. ZanyZap

@chenga12: That's stupid. If this is really the "rise" of the planet of the apes, then the apes should be able to order BK at the drive-through like everyone else. They speak quite well in the other movies and if this a prequel to those movies, then I call bullsh*t.

  21. Chenga12

    @zanyzap , i thought i heard in an interview(SET VISIT) that Caesar couldn't speak.

  24. Bane5000

@bawnian-dexeus...yeah to where like he makes the speech to the other apes and showing the humans hes gone beyond there intelligence and control and so will the other apes, so this is their world now and the are now the rulers

  25. Dan

Lol.... this movie is gonna have me cracking up the entire time. Huge entertainment value. Intelligence? Not much, but not why I'm seeing it :P

  26. Bawnian©-Dexeus

@bane5000 Would be awesome, that at the climax of the film, Ceasar's intelligence reaches to an exponential state ,that he starts using vocal communication. That would be sweet.

    12 months agoby @bawnian-dexeusFlag

  27. Bane5000

@thehost91...thats what i noticed as well, none of them speak, not even Ceasar...or maybe they keeping that on the down low till the film gets released

  28. The King of Thorns

Agreed with @moviegeek. The creatures themselves look fantastic, chief among them, Caesar (no doubt due to Andy Serkis emotions). However, there seemed to be very little human weight in the trailer, and while I like the subtlety here and there, the overall scale of this project is just too small - in no way, shape, or form would this ever work in real life. At least not on the proposed scale.

  29. Bane5000

I love what im seeing so far, it looks to be a good and kind of dark sci fi film, i like how it shows Ceasar " infecting " the other apes which explains how they grow in intelligence as well, also the apes going crazy in the streets and fighting back at us

I wasn't really feeling the energy from the trailer, but the monkeys look amazing.
