Second John Carter Trailer

Walt Disney Pictures has released the second trailer for John Carter, which opens in theaters nationwide March 9. Click on the video player below for a new look at director Andrew Stanton's adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel, which stars Taylor Kitsch as the title character.

John Carter was released March 9th, 2012 and stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, Mark Strong, Ciarán Hinds, Dominic West. The film is directed by Andrew Stanton.

    I liked the teaser better. Plus, I'm getting a vibe from him that he's trying too hard to be a badass. And I agree with @k-man about the dialogue. At best, I'd say it's pretty cringe worthy.

    As of right now, my anticipation of this movie is a roller coaster, and this trailer took it from a peak to a valley.

    Y'know what, that metaphor sucks. Long story short, I'm not as excited for this movie as I was when I saw the teaser.

    Mark Strong is THE go to guy for memorable villains. Taylor Kitsch won me over in the Bang Bang Club and i love a good sci fi yarn. I cant freakin wait for this.

    It seems to me that some of the characters correlate to Frank Frazetta's artwork (from the John Carter painting series). E.R.B. wrote great sci fi fiction in his day.

    I'm really hating that line: "You are ugly...but you are beautiful!".

    That could take the crown for the dumbest line I've heard all year.....with the exception of "mutant and proud" in X-Men: First Class.

    What is it with writers these days??? Its like they think these lines, which is something a sixth grader could write, is considered quality writing.

    I'll see this at the dollar theater for the visuals ONLY......not wasting my money on this.
