I like the Scream movies. They're pretty fun to watch.

They could have just shown it before 'My Soul to take'.

Okay, this looks somewhat better than what I was expecting. Still very skeptical though.

And given that Wes Craven didn't give the cast the screenplay past page 75 to keep Ghostface's identity secret, when the whole thing was 140 pages long, then this could be the longest "Scream" yet, as the traditional screenwriter's rule in Hollywood is that one page of a screenplay is equivalent to a minute of screentime. Thus making for a 140 minute film. That'd be interesting. I just hope the fear is played up more than in the second and third one, as the first one caught lightning in a bottle. For while the sequels made more, they were quickly forgotten in comparison to the original classic mystery-thriller/comedy.

Yeeeah...that wasn't good. Doesn't even look like it has an ounce of the "cute" factor from the last ones. God, I wish these studios and movie makers just knew when to Stop.

@horrorfan402 I feel bad for you if you were raised on the Scream franchise. There are other franchises that are better. As for Wes Craven doing no wrong, have you seen his movies since the last Scream movie? They have all been terrible.

Out of all the horror movie classics, Scream was the series I was raised on and Wes Craven can do no wrong to me. Can't wait for this, happy everyone's back, hope a lot of you die, and happy it's not in 3D!

Not sure, but it looks like they took the same idea from Halloween Resurrection - live broadcast killing over the internet - and applied it to Scream.

Anyway, that trailer was horrible. "Go ahead if you have the guts?" I wonder if that was the studio's tagline for Wes Craven after pitching this crap to them.

Why they put it out -

    1) The "Scream" Awards.... duh?

    2) Fans were in strong demand of it.

    3) Halloween Movies - perfect time to advertise to that target audience.

i was stoked about this, but the trailer (albeit a "teaser") was disappointing. will have to see more, i guess, but now it's looking like a dvd release before i'll be seeing this.

@buriblazing It is all about money. The first 3 Scream movies were a huge success and right now Dimension Films/The Weinstein Company needs a big success or they will go under.

Is anyone else wondering why they released this teaser trailer 6 months before the release of the movie? To me that is an insane decision.

Gale will be fine. Dewey definitely popped up from behind some hay with his gun drawn earlier in the trailer.

And for a TEASER trailer - that was pretty damn awesome.
