Taking the male lead role, Scott Speedman will star opposite Liv Tyler in Rogue Pictures' Strangers, for writer/director Bryan Bertino. Production begins today in South Carolina on the movie, which is scheduled for a nationwide release in October 2007. Rogue co-presidents Andrew Karpen and Andrew Rona made the announcement today.

Strangers is a suspense thriller revolving around a couple (Ms. Tyler and Mr. Speedman) in a remote suburban house who are targeted by three dangerous masked strangers. The resulting clashes force the couple to go well beyond what they thought themselves capable of in order to survive.

Mr. Bertino will be making his feature directorial debut on Strangers from his own original screenplay. Supermodel Gemma Ward will play one of the home invaders.

Mr. Speedman starred opposite Kate Beckinsale in the hit genre movies Underworld and Underworld: Evolution, both directed by Len Wiseman. He is also known to audiences from the four-year run of the popular television series Felicity.

Mr. Karpen and Mr. Rona said, "There's great chemistry between Scott and Liv, which Bryan will expertly mine through the terrifying twists and turns of Strangers."

The Strangers was released May 30th, 2008 and stars Liv Tyler, Scott Speedman, Glenn Howerton, Gemma Ward, Kip Weeks, Laura Margolis, Alex Fisher, Peter Clayton-Luce. The film is directed by Bryan Bertino.
