Scott Faye Set for Duke Nukem

Kotaku recently chatted with Max Payne producer Scott Faye who is apparently working with 3D Realms' Scott Miller on a Duke Nukem movie.

"I'm working diligently at making a Duke Nukem movie scenario that will live up to the character and its import in the videogame world," said Faye. "As is the case with all of my game adaptations, I'd rather not make the movie than make a poor adaptation."

Faye said he's still actively developing the story and he will not shop the film in Hollywood until all the people involved in the project feel solid about where we are creatively.

No production information is available.

Max Payne was released October 17th, 2008 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Chris O'Donnell, Donal Logue, Amaury Nolasco, Kate Burton. The film is directed by John Moore.

HAHAHAHA!!! i used to love playing Nukem as a kid! a few years back the obvious choice for this would have been Arnold schwarzenegger, but now he's gone. maybe you could have Vin Diesel, The Rock or even Cris Evans!!

This will either be direct to DVD or scrapped. If they do make it tho, I hope they pay homage to Doom and a reference to the Doom Guy like they did in the games. That would be the only cool thing

sounds great but this must be rated R the game was full of blood, guts and gore and the movie must be the same. Let's not forget the piece of crap that was Doom.
