Scot Armstrong Steps in for The Zookeeper

Scot Armstrong has stepped aboard the MGM comedy The Zookeeper to provide additional script work for the feature. Walt Becker is set to direct and produce, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Original writers Jay Scherick and David Ronn's story centers on a lonely, misguided zookeeper who gets unexpected romantic help from the animals in his care.

The studio sees the project as a potentially wide-appealing comedy and has met with I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry star Kevin James about the lead role. No one has been cast, however.

No production date has been set.
