Sci Fi Channel Gets Behind Ghost Hunters: New Generation

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like the Sci Fi Channel will be expanding the Ghost Hunters show with its creator Craig Piligian.

The deal will include multiple hours of reality programming.

First up will be a "college edition" of the show called Ghost Hunters: New Generation. In this show, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango will be working with students as they engage in paranormal investigations.

The Sci Fi Channel will also be doing another season of Ghost Hunters as well as a second season of Ghost Hunters International.

Craig Piligian will also be behind an untitled series that should air in 2010.

Why do they always have to mess up a good thing by taking it too far? I've been with the show since the first episode, GHI made my stomach turn, can't stand the host and it's not the same without Jay, Grant and Steve. I think this is ridiculous and it's just another way for the SciFi channel and Craig Piligian to pad their wallets. Leave it alone already, geez. Run it into the ground and watch it flop.
