School of Rock 2: America Rocks Might Not Happen

Though the trades reported that School of Rock 2: America Rocks was moving into production, Richard Linkletter seems to think otherwise. According to Slash Film, the director doesn't think the film will ever see the light of day.

While at the Toronto Film Festival, Linkletter revealed that he has only ever had one conversation with Paramount in direct relation to School of Rock 2: America Rocks. He went on to say that his next project would be a surprise. When asked when he would be making the School of Rock sequel, the directed stated, "That might not happen." Linkletter seemed to express apprehension towards the proposed project.

As of yet, Paramount has not set a start date for School of Rock 2: America Rocks.

The School of Rock 2: America Rocks is in development .
