School Dance Set Photos with Director Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart
Continuously out to prove that he's more than just Mariah Carey arm candy, entrepreneur Nick Cannon is adding feature film director to his already long list of achievements, helming the teen comedy School Dance. The film features comedian Kevin Hart, alongside actresses Melissa Molinaro, Amber Rose, and Kristinia DeBarge, all of whom are seen in a handful of photos that have just arrived from the set. Check it out as Kevin Hart reaches in the fridge to get his Eazy-E on in this tale of a shy freshman who hopes to join his high school's hottest dance clique despite suffering incurable stage fright.

School Dance comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Melissa Molinaro, Korrina Rico, Efren Ramirez, Amber Rose, Kayla Collins, Kristinia DeBarge, Catherine Masters, Jasmine Sanders. The film is directed by Nick Cannon.

@narrator If you think what he said was nothing( calling ghetto people stupid because of the movies they watch) and we're arguing over a pretty small point fine by you that's your opinion on this matter i have no problem with that, all i'm saying is his comment was stupid and insensitive he knows it, and i know a lot of people would have a problem with it as well, yet he wont even acknowledge the way he said it was wrong wow!!.

the Narrator
Haha @bawnian-dexeus. Agreed about that, though people shouldn't take the film too seriously as to be offended beyond a few burns.
And yeah, I'm going to see it just because they outright dissed Tyler Perry and whatnot. Thing is - and this is the real kicker - that by placing themselves in the whole "we're tired of African-american/british stereotypes, and we're out to prove there is serious black talent and class out there" category, they're just embodying another stereotype concerning their ethnicity. XD
And sorry, I had a typo so I reposted my comment.

@cupid - You guys are arguing over a pretty small point, really.
@daveactor7 was simply making a generalized acknowledgement, and from my perspective, it's a fairly accurate one. Not EVERYONE from the lower-class demographic will go to see films like this, obviosuly, but a solid majority of them tend to for reasons I won't bother fretting over. And that's fine. Like @diaigma said, there are certain intended audiences for all features, and every film has to have its niche. All dave was trying to say (though could have said in a more "politically correct" way) was that a known stereotypical majority of people from government run projects, low-income subdivisions, and "ghetto" like housing tend to go to films like this. Again, it's doesn't reign true for everyone in that type of situation, but it's an acknoledgement backed with facts. I grew up in low-income subdivisions on the outskirts of Kalihi (which is the largest "ghetto" on Oahu), and I agree with dave's thesis. This doesn't mean the statement should be taken in an offensive way, cupid, it's just an acknowledgement of who exactly sees films like this on a generalized scale.
All that lame business aside, anyone else hear about this indie film called "Dear White People"? It looks hilariously entertaining and will likely become needlessly controversial thanks to people who takes things as seriously as yourselves. Jk. ;)

@daveactor7 Nope, its just that your out here labeling people for what they're watching and its kinda stupid.

@stivdion oh I love your sarcasm. Hop off.
@cupid LOL so basically a ghetto person is not allowed to say anything bad about other ghetto people? Makes sense

CUPID
@daveactor7 First i wasn't supporting what you said just sharing my thoughts on why ghetto people (as you label them ) would like these movie, because your making it seem as if "ghetto" people only watch stupid movies all day every day and nothing else and if they do e.g. TDKR, its because it has action in it and thats what all ghetto people like according to you. So yes, you may not have stated it, but you were clearly hinting that they didn't have the intelligence to watch it.

@daveactor7 So ghetto people only watch stupid movies like black comedies and popcorn flicks, and movies like TDKR they'll only watch because is has action right? so your implying that ghetto people dont have the intelligence to watch a movie like TDKR? now that stupid man. I may not know how film audiences function in the big apple, but where i'm from not everyone likes paying to go see an oscar worthy movies because of the simple fact that they're manly boring, you wanna go out with some friends have some laughs and a good time regardless of how stupid a movie may seem, so if thats what ghetto people like watching i'm sure there's a little bit of ghetto in everyone, except you of course and a few other users on here.

@cupid they're still gonna see this movie regardless lol. What does them seeing TDKR have to do with this? They're only going because it's action. You don't know how film audiences function here in the big apple xD
