
Malcolm D. Lee will direct Scary Movie 5
David Zucker, who wrote and directed Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4, will co-write the script and produce. Casting is currently under way.
Production is scheduled to begin this summer, with a January 11, 2013 release date already set by the studio.
Scary Movie 4, which was released back in 2006, starred Anna Faris. It isn't known if she plans to return to this parody franchise.
Scary Movie V was released April 12th, 2013 and stars Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, Erica Ash, Katt Williams, Gracie Whitton, Lidia Porto, Charlie Sheen, Katrina Bowden. The film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee.

@dan1 When speaking of the horror genre, indeed my friend. The most original horror film of late has been Cabin in the Woods and you can't rip on that because it's a spoof movie in it of itself. Yay or nay?
