Scarlett Johansson Is Mary Queen of Scots
The plot centers on a woman named Mary who, in 1542, became queen of Scotland at just nine months old. She later became a rival to the thrown of England. A roman catholic, she was imprisoned for many years on charges of attempting to assassinate Elizabeth I. She was beheaded in 1587.
The film is scheduled to start shooting this April in London and Scotland.
