Saw VI's Kevin Greutert to Direct Paranormal Activity Sequel
Made on a shoestring budget of about $15,000, Paranormal Activity became a box office sensation as it earned $151 million worldwide.
Paranormal Activity 2 is expected to premiere in theaters October 22, the same weekend as Saw VII 3D.
Jason Blum and Oren Peli are producing Paranormal Activity 2.
"These guys get it, and the fans won't be disappointed," said Peli of Perry and Greutert's participation.
The filmmakers are keeping the story line - as well as the film's actual title - hidden in the attic.
Paranormal Activity 2 was released October 22nd, 2010 and stars Katie Featherston. The film is directed by Tod Williams.

This is pretty rich from the guy thinks horror movies begin and end with Trick 'r' Treat...
Listen I AM THATGUY...
Movies existed before 1998. Just because you didn't start watching them until that year, and are only B-movie literate... that doesn't mean that you have a right to voice your opinions.
Why don't you and @Gallagher go watch EXORCIST 4... yeah, remember that... the one you guys thought was the first film in the series.
Get out of my face...

I was at Mushy's house this weekend and he was showing me some of his favorite DVDs. Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 and Halloween 3: Season of the Witch were just 2 of em. I would not take Mushy serious when it comes to sequels. Just saying

Anybody that thinks that Peli actually believes the line:
"These guys get it, and the fans won't be disappointed"
Is as delusional as if they think that PA2 will be any good.
Peli is bought and sold. He has no interest in upsetting Paramount as they are backing his newest filmmaking effort. He also stands to make money from PA2.
The only way this sequel works is to give it time to breath. Meaning... take about 10 years and make a sequel.

Hold the hump up. Peli is not directing?
"These guys get it, and the fans won't be disappointed" You better be right.
Sebastian, totally agree. Though the ending and the dragging part were a bit scary. But it was nice for this to be so successful.
