Sasha Grey joins the cast of I Melt with You
Grey, as well as Zander Eckhouse, Abhi Sinha and Arielle Kebbel, are joining a cast that includes Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven. Mark Pellington wrote the script with Glenn Porter.
The character drama follows college friends (Jane, Lowe and Piven) who, as adults, find something missing when they have their annual summer reunion. They restart a pact they originally "vowed to live, die and kill by."
Grey is going to play the character of Raven. She is a free spirit who helps one of the men realize that nirvana can only be achieved by death.
Eckhouse will play Grey's idealistic writer boyfriend. Sinha will be a medical student, and Kebbel will play a young hostess.
The movie starts shooting in Northern California next month.
I Melt with You was released December 9th, 2011 and stars Thomas Jane, Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe, Christian McKay, Carla Gugino, Tom Bower, Arielle Kebbel, Zander Eckhouse. The film is directed by Mark Pellington.

Agreed with @ejk. They (the studios) do that because the newcomers are cheaper and desperate enough to serve the main male purpose: female exposure. Character/acting depth is third on the waiting list.

I think she sucks(pun intended). I can't believe actresses that have been in the business for a while are getting passed over for models and now porn stars. Kristin Kreuk and Rachel Bilson are sexy and talented. Surely they, along with others, are more than worthy of stepping into Megan Fox's role in Transformers 3, or filling this role.

I'll be honest and say the plot seems interesting. Kind of a weird casting choice to put Sasha Grey in it but, I'm not gonna judge a book by its cover until i see the film. I really do love Mark Pellington's work as a director, he's got a great visual sense and way of telling a story. So, i guess we shall see how the film turns out.
