According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Sarah Wayne Callies' (Prison Break) adapted screenplay, Elena's Serenade, has been optioned by the producer Cameron Lamb (Daydream Nation) and the Film Farm (Adoration).

Elena's Serenade is an award-winning children's book. It follows a girl who traverses the Mexican desert to become a glass blower. The story is filled with music, magical realism and dreams. It is "a hero's journey of innocence blooming into experience."

The property is Callies' first screenplay.
