Sarah Silverman joins the new comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West
The story centers on a timid farmer (Seth MacFarlane) whose girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried) leaves him for another man, after he shies away from a gunfight. The cowardly man gets a few lessons in courage from a notorious outlaw's wife (Charlize Theron), but his newfound skills are put to the test when the angry husband (Liam Neeson) comes riding into town. Sarah Silverman is playing the town prostitute, who ironically won't have sex with her fiancee (Giovanni Ribisi) because she wants to wait until they are married.
Seth MacFarlane is directing from a screenplay he drafted with his Ted co-writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. Seth MacFarlane is also producing alongside Scott Rudin and Jason Clark. Production is scheduled to begin this spring.
Sarah Silverman last starred in the indie Take This Waltz and voiced Vanellope von Schweetz in the Oscar-nominated Disney animated comedy Wreck-It Ralph.
