Sarah Michelle Replacing Kate Bosworth in Veronika Decides to Die

Sarah Michelle Gellar has entered final negotiations to star in the indie drama Veronika Decides to Die. Kate Bosworth was previously attached to star.

According to Variety, the story centers on a severely depressed woman who rediscovers her will to live after learning that she has only days left due to the irreparable damage done to her heart as a result of her recent suicide attempt.

No production date has been set.

Veronika Decides to Die was released in 2011 and stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jonathan Tucker, Erika Christensen, Florencia Lozano, Rena Owen, Erica Gimpel, Victor Slezak, Barbara Sukowa. The film is directed by Emily Young.

    It just goes to show that marcusx has pretty bad judgment, its based on one of the best books you'd probably read, from a marvelous author, and i think that it would of been a damn shame to change the tittle! I am a skeptical of whether SMG would execute it like I know kate would off.
