Fox 2000 has purchased the Kim Barker comedy spec script All About Steve as a starring vehicle for Sandra Bullock, according to Variety. The actress will produce through her Fortis Films banner.

In the broad comedy, a TV news cameraman is stalked across the country by a brilliant but eccentric crossword-puzzler.

Executive producers are Nicholas Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films. Barker, whose script was bought by Fox 2000 president Elizabeth Gabler, will do a quick rewrite with the aim of getting the film into production next year.
