Sam Worthington offered the starring role in This Means War
Worthington and Chris Pine will play best friends and longtime spies who wage black-ops warfare on each other when they both fall for Reese Witherspoon.
This Means War has been around since 1998 and it has had stars like Martin Lawrence all the way to Bradley Cooper attached to it. It has also seen a litany of directors and writers.
However, it is said that Fox really wants to make this film so maybe all the elements have finally fallen in place for it to happen?
Worthington may also be doing the film Man on a Ledge for Summit Entertainment. In that film "he'd play an ex-cop threatening to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop; unbeknownst to the police psychologists brought in to talk him down, the 'suicide attempt' is a cover for the biggest diamond heist ever attempted."
This Means War was released February 17th, 2012 and stars Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Tom Hardy, Til Schweiger, Chelsea Handler, John Paul Ruttan, Abigail Spencer, Angela Bassett. The film is directed by McG.

THIS WILL BE A GREAT MOVIE MCG AND SAM IN SALVATION WERE GREAT I LOVE THAT MOVIE HAVE SOME HISTORY MISTAKES BUT IS BETTER THAN T3 TALKING ABOUT T3 YOU GUYS HAVE WATCHED THE SGT CANDY DELETED SCENE ? LOL

I loved salvation (one of the few people on this site i know). i personally like worthington. both sound good to me. I loved star trek, pine esp. so WAR could be real good. LEDGE sounds very interesting to.
I could def see him as a bourne. Bond im not to sure how i feel about that. If a live action star wars was to ever happen, id be on board for him as han.

Hell, when is Worthington going to be cast to play Han Solo, Indianna Jones, Rick Dekkard, Superman, Spiderman, Harry Potter, Ghostbuster#3, Jason Bourne, Edgar Hoover, The Riddler? Sam's an OK actor, not any real acting talent...thanks, wayyyy overarrated Avatar for inflating this spectacular mediocre Aussie actor's film slate...Clash of the Titans was cool though! Bicker, banter, bond, lol!

Well, Man on a Ledge sounds more interesting. McG did an unexpectedly good salvation, so I will see how this plays out. It has Witherspoon (a plus), Pine (a mostly plus), and Fux (a minus)... hmm.
