Looking back, you've worked on Spider-Man in some way for nearly eight years. Has the excitement stayed with you?
RAIMI: I'm just as excited about the character, and so in that sense, yes. Although the physical energy level between how I felt before I started shooting versus what was left of me on the last day of photography, I was so exhausted at the end of Spider-Man 3 I can't tell you. My love for the characters and my passion for the stories are the same, but I was just a shell of the person that I was after all of those movies.
If you had to take a break and pick a director to replace you on the franchise, is there anyone at the top of your list?
RAIMI: Because I love Spider-Man I would just say -- I don't want to pick someone. I don't know if I'll be directing the picture or not, but I'd like to say that it would be somebody that was the best gift I could give to Spider-Man -- someone who understands him and loves him and could bring his passion and love to the character. A character director probably; no one else.

well trust me when i say Batman Forever and Batman & Robin did not bring in the money at ALL!!! The franchise died. they are redoing the franchise not jsut for money reasons but DC Comics needed to save the character. And spidey 3 had alot of good things in it, dont get me wrong by what i have said, but it wasnt good. they made too many mistakes and like i said before i think it was simply due to rushing the film and being exhausted from spider-man. i agree not to change people. it is almost never a good thing when you do that. that is what happened to the original batman series. so give the guys a chance to rest and then bring them back and give venom the honor he deserves.

The main thing about the whole of the movie is about spiderman, now, did he at any point in the movie, use his spidey sence?! not that i'm aware of, he also became an emo, hence we all lost respect for the character, and he's meant to be a brilliant scientist, so what happened there? they focused on that in the 1st, and the 2nd, what happened in the 3rd, has he suddenly had a memory loss?! The butler scene was awful, why Rami why? lets just tie up everything from the movies in 5 mins at the end, same as they did at the end of Sith. Fingers crossed on a new director for deffiante, and some fresh writers

Spidey 3 did not suck balls...it was a good entertaining movie. yes they should have concentrated on venom more than sandman...because to me he just isn't a strong enough character.
And sam and the whole cast should come back for Spidey 4!
sam did a great job at capturing the characters. i think the main reason it wasn't as good was becuase there was too much going on...so it felt rushed. but it was still a good movie.

They'll make 100 more spidey films if it keeps making money.Look at the batman franchise.After returns it sucked but it made money.They had to redue the whole thing just because they wanted money and people were tired of crap.Hopefully spiderman won't take the batman forever and batman and robin direction.You think spiderman 3 sucked? Imagine if that happened.

Well Yahzee, we feel thee film did stink. There were some many aspects of he film that just was not what we were looking for. Its not that they didnt do enough, its that they did too much of the wrong stuff. Switch the amounts of time Sandman was on the screen versus Venom. Thats a biggy and then the butler part needs to be cut completely. and South Park actually copied the simpsons. the simpsons was around first. And the movie was like the show. you would have had to of followed the show dilligently to understand that. but anyways i do think a director change is needed if he is getting that tired of it. Maybe thats why the third wwent downhill so much from the other two, becasue he was so tired of making the films and it shows.

I dont understand whats with people expectations, they can go so oever the roof most of the times. Just because isnt as good as Spidey 2 doesnt mean its bad. But hey do something like The Simpsons Movie which is not only rehashing the series, but also copying the South Park Movie. But nobody complains....oh well.

spidey 3 sucked, it was awful, I couldnt wait to get out of the theater. Sandman effects were stellar very cool, stupid dance scenes, the emo haircut just took the movie and tossed it under the bus.
