Sam Fell to Direct Demonkeeper

Director Sam Fell (The Tale of Despereaux and Flushed Away) will direct Demonkeeper, a live-action adaptation of the Royce Buckingham novel for Fox 2000.

According to Variety, the script is being written by Laeta Kalogridis, who scripted the upcoming Martin Scorsese-directed Shutter Island for Paramount and Battle Angel, which James Cameron will direct for Fox.

The story follows a Seattle teen who inherits responsibility for a house filled with demons. When the youth finally breaks free of his charges to go on a date, he returns to discover that kids have broken into the house, unleashing its most vicious demon, the Beast, Killer of Lost Children.

No production date has been set.

    How this : After a break-in, a Seattle teen must go on the hunt to find his lost demon who is laying havoc on the city. But in his travels he learns that there are others like him, who will anything to restore the city if the demon is either locked back up or killed. In his quest he must also find the kids that is responsible for breaking into his house.

    I think this sounds better than the one above.
