  12. The Narrator: The Better Man

I think what @comrade is saying, is that Hal Jordan usually has a "good guy", almost "golden boy" thing going for his hair, which defines him as a hero and clean cut guy. Whereas here, Reynolds is looking like a slightly average joe, douchy kinda guy. I think that's what hes saying.

I know a CG suit makes sense but I'm just worried about what it will look like. If done badly it could ruin the movie.

I bet it'll glow...like what they did with Dr. Manhattan in the "Watchmen" movie.

  20. T.Clark

@ridgl: Except with GL, it actually makes sense for the suit to be CG because it's not an actual costume. It's pretty much another construct created by his ring.

  21. The Narrator: The Better Man

Agreed. And a huge bonus, it's from the same costume designer who worked on LOTR. You know this is gonna be just great.

A CG Suit is perfect for the Green Lantern seeing as how the suit is a "construct" of the rings green energy from the emotional spectrum of light and the wearers imagination and not an actual suit. It would actually make very little sense to put him in a "real" suit.

I don't get why so many people are irritatted over the "cg suit". Seriously, it makes alot of sence. It gives the ability to have the original look from the comic book without the cheesyness of putting a person in spandex and risking it not turning out properly. This way they can make the suit look perfect in everyframe with less effort. In addition the Lantern conjures his suit out of thin air, and having the cg suit makes that alot easier to achieve and make look cool at the same time. The one thing I could understand people saying is that the cg better be top notch, bad cg can kill a well acted movie.

yeah it looks like he toned down a little, but i cant wait to see him in the suit when its done

haha the tiny dog kills me. Kinda cool to see the suit. Nothing to really get excited over. Like most of the posts below - gotta wait to see how the CGI suit turns out but I expect great things obviously.
