Sandra Bullock's latest comedy has landed its male lead. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Waiting's Ryan Reynolds will be pulling groom duty in The Proposal.

The story revolves around Bullock's character, an imposing boss whose tactics have her being shipped off to Canada. She arranges a fake engagement and marriage to one of her co-workers, which will now be played by Reynolds.

Peter Chiarelli wrote the script. The film is set to go into production soon.

The Proposal was released June 19th, 2009 and stars Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Betty White, Denis O'Hare, Malin Akerman, Oscar Nuñez. The film is directed by Anne Fletcher.
