Ryan Gosling is set to direct the indie drama, The Lord's Resistance Army; he also wrote the screenplay and raised the money for the film.

The film is about child soldiers in Africa; Variety adds it will star non-pros and child soldiers, whom Gosling has helped find in East Africa.

The Lord's Resistance Army has no current production schedule.
