Russell Brand Hints at Pirates of the Caribbean 4

Access Hollywood interviewed Russell Brand who said more about the rumor that he will have a role in Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

"There's been some talk of doing a 'Pirates' movie," Russell told Billy Bush for AccessHollywood.com and "The Billy Bush Show." "But, I've got eight other things to do [including] Get Him to the Greek with Judd Apatow... So I don't know if there'll be time to be a pirate, I've got enough of that in me private life."

"A possibility, yes," he told Billy. "I think it's a possibility."

In Get Him to the Greek, Brand will reprise his character Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

It looks like the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean is targeting a release date sometime in 2012, according to producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides was released May 20th, 2011 and stars Johnny Depp, Penélope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Kevin McNally, Sam Claflin, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Stephen Graham. The film is directed by Rob Marshall.

Great news if that means a no, because do we need any more jack sparrow type caricatures in a film were people only want to see that one person, just leave it as Barbossa and Sparrow and be done with it. Dont get me wrong I like the films like the next person but just give the fans what they want, one big film with who they love and leave it alone.

the third pirates was good but too complicated. Keep it simple and swashbuckly. Also, bring back jacks slim costume from the third film. HE looked bloated. It just didnt look the same. They need the same crew as the first film and that includes lighting but please leave out the rum jokes.

I, too, didn't feel the third one err. I felt it was too gloomy and convuluted with sub-plots. It became too damn confusing. Everyone was backstabbing everyone (I guess that's what pirates do) but it made the story very messy. Like we all went into a giant sand storm and didn't understand what happened til the dust settled. Where as one and two kept the plot and story simple and felt like popcorn flicks, part 3 tried to give us more than we could chew. Just my opinion.

Indeed, ComradeHenson. This really didn't say anything at all. Blast.

But to err and Diaigma, I personally am a true fan of the Pirate films. Except for the second. Dead Man's Chest kind of lost the feeling of the trilogy. To me, in the second movie, it felt like they tried making the pirates too... how do I put this? Too "Disney-y." The characters felt like... stereotypical... disney characters whereas the first and third films sallied forth and created pirates true to their nature. I don't know if I'm rather explaining this well, so do you know what I mean?

But I loved the third for the level of epicness included within. It felt like a satisfying wrap-up to me. Well, for the Davy Jones storyline anyway. :-)

This doesn't really say anything. Brand is hysterical though, I look forward to seeing more of his work in our market. Sucks that his show got cancelled, the podcast was one of my favorites.

yeah diaigma the 3rd one was kind of a let-down, but it still had some cool parts, i thought. like all the sh*t on the island with the crab rocks and the depp hallucinating all the other depps walking around.

the rest of the movie has since departed from memory but that whole bit was cool in my opinion.
