Rupert Evans Superman in Justice League
Hey! I'm a big fan of your site, and I've always wanted to be a spy. Not in the literal, garrott wire and Russian murdering sense of course, but in the movie rumour way.
So, I thought you guys might be interested in this: About three weeks ago I went along to some casting sessions in soho for a movie called Justice League. I didn't know what it was until I saw the character list later. I would have figured it out earlier but with a movie like that one they don't let them actually read from the proper script until they're officially cast.
Anyway, we went through a whole bunch of British actors and some of them were pretty good. But I've heard today that one of them has been cast, or I guess is about to be cast, as Superman. I don't remember his audition, but I was out of the room for a lot of it. Anyway, the guy everyone is talking about is called Rupert Evans.

If their going to make movies about comic book heroes the people who actually care should make these movies I swear it seems Hollywood is always trying to dumb things down instead of making a good movie

I wan't to see a movie version of "Kingdom Come", only way I would be intrested in anything Justice League related. In my mind that is what superman should look like.

yeah but in hellboy he was a p*ssy. and not mention he is njot american. and in order to pull something off like that you truly need a good director. im not saying he wouldnt be able to drop his accent but i think he is a very very exremely terrible choice for superman....what is DC Comics thinking

Why would this idiot director cast a Brit as the most ICONIC AMERICAN superhero of all time? At least WB and Bryan Singer did the right thing by casting Tom Welling and Brandon Routh who are American!!! Please tell what is next, Owen Wilson as James Bond? God forbid DC listen to the fans like Marvel does, that is why Spidy and X-Men are so successful. This movie is sounding more and more pathetic.

Well, I really liked him in Hellboy. That's the only thing I've seen him in, but he did a great job in that film. I think they could make him work as Superman, especially if they're still doing the motion capture like Beowulf.

Well I just want to say that it they cast anyone but Tom Welling (preferable) or Brandon Routh, who actually know how to play Superman , they might as well not bother making the movie. I for one would not watch it if anyone else is cast.
