Rpin Suwannath to Make His Directorial Debut in The Lotus Caves

Rpin Suwannath will make his directorial debut in Walden Media's adaptation of John Christopher novel The Lotus Caves, according to Variety.

The sci-fi thriller is set in the year 2068, with humans living on the moon in vast colonies of airtight bubbles. Two teens break out and embark on a quest to find magical, legendary caves.

Suwannath began his career interning at George Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic, working on visual effects for Batman Forever. Suwannath incorporated his pre-visualization techniques, now an industry standard, in the Chronicles of Narnia and X-Men films, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Smith and the Matrix sequels.
