One of television's most famous matriarch's is going back to her scripted motherly roots. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Roseanne Barr has been tapped to star in an untitled family sitcom that has been pitched to Fox.

Jim Vallely (Arrested Development) is writing the script, although no plot details were given on the pilot. Vallely would executive produce alongside Barr, Maggie Rowe and Caryn Mandbach, who was an executive producer on Barr's hit sitcom Roseanne.

No production schedule was given for the pilot.
