Rosamund Pike to be Emma Frost?
The site's source reveals that Pike was spotted at the offices of Lucinda Syson, who was the casting director for Matthew Vaughn on his last two films, Kick-Ass and Stardust and who will also likely be casting director of X-Men: First Class, which Vaughn is directing. The site also reports that Pike was spotted carrying a Emma Frost comic book as well.
Of course, none of this has been confirmed as of yet, but we'll be sure to keep you posted on any further X-Men: First Class news as soon as more information arrives.
X-Men: First Class was released June 3rd, 2011 and stars James McAvoy, Laurence Belcher, Michael Fassbender, Bill Milner, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Beth Goddard. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn.

@bane5000, I'd rather they go with her being a teacher or something like that. Having her be Scott's first love interest instead of Jean reverses the mythology in the books. I don't want that to happen. Why can't they just stick to what the story is, instead of screwing around with it?

@ejk1-thats true bout her being in the Hellfire club during the events of the phoenix saga,and i doubt theyll use her as jeans replacement
if they do play her off as a member of the team, she could be scotts first love interest till jean joins and emma gets jelous of them getting closer and all hell breaks loose with a mental power fight with her and jean lol
or maybe since shes not as young as the other cast/x-men members that could be in the movie, maybe shell be some kind of mentor or teacher for them at the institute or even a friend of xaviers during the film
i dont now im just throwing ideas out there :], but i trust theyll handle her character in the movie well

I'm conflicted on this one. On the positive side, I love Emma Frost, and think that Rosamund Pike is perfect for the role. However, Emma is not an original member of the X-Men. She was never part of the Brotherhood either, but rather the Hellfire Club. I hope they aren't planning on using her instead of Jean Grey, because that would be an injustice to the character, and many of the great stories of the X-Men comics. I don't mind if Emma appears in the second movie, but the first may be a stretch.
In any case, if this is true, then it does signify that this is a reboot of the franchise.

i like the choice of her as emma, but whos side will she be on, xaviers of magnetos?...maybe start off with xavier but after he and magneto make that split, she becomes the first member...or casualty... of the brotherhood
