Ron Perlman joins Angry Little God
We first reported on this project in August, when Dimension Films signed on to distribute. The project is a remake of the Thai thriller 13: Game of Death. The story centers on a timid social services coordinator who can't seem to get out from under his mounting debts. He receives a strange phone call to participate in a hidden camera game show, where he could win up to $6 million by performing 13 tasks. The man soon realizes he's in over is head, even though thousands of dollars start pouring into his bank account, as the challenges become more horrific.
Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) is directing from a script he co-wrote with David Birke, which is adapted from the original movie. Principal photography begins Tuesday.
Angry Little God comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Ron Perlman, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Tom Bower, Devon Graye, Mark Webber, Rutina Wesley. The film is directed by Daniel Stamm.
