Ron Perlman is Corin in Conan
Corin, as you very well may know, is Conan's father, a single parent and master thief. Lionsgate will begin shooting this new version of the classic comic later this month in Bulgaria. The script will honor Robert E. Howard's original material with a much more faithful adaptation than what was seen in Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1982 take on the character.
Conan, which stars Jason Momoa in the lead role, is gearing up for a mid-to-late 2011 release date.
Conan the Barbarian was released August 19th, 2011 and stars Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Steven O'Donnell. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel.

Radimus-83, I was going to say the same thing. His acting has matured enough to pull it off and has a much more appropriate look. Kind of that Barbarian, Cro-Magnon appearance.
And Rourke is the now thing. This role needs somebody who looks like they lived back in an earlier time. And although I've never been an ardent fan of Pearlman, I think it's a brilliant choice.

The thing is, is a big enough role for Ron Perlman has the father, in the Schwarzeneggers movie Conan the father got killed at the beging of the film, he was only in the film for about 5minits.

This will be converted to 3D, mark my words. I guess we have to accept it, and so I guess I have to watch a 3D version of everything I like. From Buffy to Star trek, every superhero film and fantasy film.
Just wish that Drizzt film was being made. I hate long waits.
