It seems that a film version of a popular TV series is moving in the right direction. According to MTV Movies Blog, Arrested Development executive producer Ron Howard said a film version is in the works and that, "It's going ahead."

Howard added that he met with series creator Mitch Hurwitz on Friday. "I had a great meeting with Mitch," Howard said. "Things are going really well. He's writing."

Howard wouldn't divulge any more information about casting or the development of the film. "We've been asked to no longer divulge anything or get into the game of who's in, who's out," Howard told us. "People are going to have to see."

Arrested Development is in development and stars Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Liza Minnelli, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor.
