Based on Dan Brown's bestselling novels, the third installment will be The Lost Symbol, which follows 2006's The Da Vinci Code and 2009's Angels & Demons. Ron Howard directed the first two.

Sony Pictures is looking for a new director. Tom Hanks will return as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon.

The Lost Symbol was released in 2012. The film is directed by Mark Romanek.

davinci code was not good. angels and demons was fantastic. here's hoping they get someone who can continue the Langdon saga in the same vein as A&D not DC.

Hm... well, I haven't seen either film, but I know that both films were deemed mediocre by critics. Perhaps this change is necessary for the franchise.
