Did anyone see Lady GaGa's red outfit at the MTV VMAs when she accepted her award? Well, it reminded me of an evil Silent Hill character.

The Splicers in Bioshock for some reason remind me of the crazy people in Condemned haha.

I think they kinda messed around with the actual storyline in the Silent Hill film (it's not accurate) but it was still faithful in a lot of ways.

If you watch any other video game to movie adpt. kingbrady, you should know what I mean lol. Doom- the story was raped beyond understanding which was the reason why it sucked and even The Rock couldn't save it. Resident Evil films- well for one, they aren't even scary, the games were actually kinda creepy at the time. You can basically see all the wire stunts (which isn't professional). Bad actors in RE films besides 1 or 2 people. Sadly, I kinda like Super Mario Bros. I thought it was funny, but it was still considered sh*tty to most people. Both Street Fighter films (don't really have to explain myself there lol). Double Dragon (same as Street Fighter). Mortal Kombat films. I liked PARTS of the 1st film, and it has some good actors, but overall it doesn't live up to the games at all. Tomb Raiders were okay (Jolie is hot but that's it) but nothing really spectacular. Dead or Alive (please like anyone actually watched that movie). And the final two, Hitman and Max Payne which had soo much promise but were kinda weird. Hitman was better and a lot more accurate if I can even call it that than Max Payne. Both were okay, but again, nothing awesome.

Uwe Boll's game films which speak for themselves- Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne films, Far Cry, Postal, and the worst one... House of the Dead lol.

Silent Hill is creepy, it's accurate, it doesn't piss you off when you watch it. Thus, the best video game movie to date.

True, there, J.A.! I am not sure...wasn't Brotherhood Of The Wolf in the same predicament back when it was in development?

I really would have liked to see what he would do with Onimusha. Last I heard, he had Takeshi Kaneshiro reprising his Samanosuke role...but that was about it.

So, maybe Gans dropping SH2 would be in our favor, eh? :)

meh last i heard Gans was only penned to write, but it seems all that is changed that was at the time when he dropped Silent Hill 2 to direct and write Onimusha, but that hit development hell as well...
What's with Christopher Gans projects and development hell, lol

I really enjoyed the first movie...but as J.A. put it; a sequel is unnecessary. Plus, I honestly feel that since Cristophe Gans is not connected in any way, this should be shelved for the time being...if not for good.

Have you played Condemmend 1 or 2?

Now that is a scary game, Fatal Frame comes in close at second though.
If you got a 360, play condemmended, it balistically scary, the game play is real, the characters are also crafty bastards waiting in the dark with about any weapon they can find like spanners and hammers, they jump over tables smash through glass windows, its crazy

Fatal Frame! Holy crap. That's about the scariest game ever.

F.E.A.R would work really well, i recently got all 3 games well 4 overall, it would have to be produced by Warner Bros though, but i could definately see it working.

Obscure, heard of it never played it.

Fatal Frame would be really good too

Agreed, Ottley. How about Obscure or F.E.A.R. instead?

As much as I liked the first film, only one thing didn't seem right, well maybe two. As I recall the first game had the male figure, I wondered why there was a female taking the lead in the film.
Second, the fog wasn't thick enough, nor was there any fright, one of the creatures was a work friend. He got more out of being an extra, since he loved getting paid for the extra parts.
Anyway, I could see this as a good sign, as long it is made up here in Canada like the first. That's right, you read that.

i dont recall the movie should rent it once more, but i am certain the game was lil girl and her father and he crashes and loses his daughter and then goes thru these nightmares and such but there was no mother in the game like the movie was, how does that make it the best game to movie adaptation?? Chad please explain your idea as to how n why, b/c i didnt see that at all

    AGREED.

But i think a sequel is unnessceary, and plus this has been in production hell for ages.

Nice. The last one was the best video game adaptation. Hopefully this one will break the mold.
