ROBOCOP trilogy box set coming to DVD

Robocop: According to DVD Answers, MGM have announced the Robocop Trilogy for a release in June.

This new feature packed set will be available to own from the 8th June this year for around $39.96. The first film will receive a newly mastered anamorphic widescreen presentation as well as a new Dolby Digital 5.1 mix. Extras will include an audio commentary with director Paul Verhoeven, producer Jon Davidson, and screenwriter Ed Neumeier, a Making of RoboCop documentary, four deleted scenes, a six minute film-to-storyboard comparison with optional commentary by Phil Tippett, two vintage featurettes, a still gallery, trailers and finally a TV spot. The other two films will receive the barebones treatment with only trailers included. Although films two and three will be available seperately, the first film will be available only as part of the trilogy set.

Robocop was released January 1st, 1987 and stars Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Dan O'Herlihy, Ronny Cox, Kurtwood Smith, Miguel Ferrer, Robert DoQui, Ray Wise. The film is directed by Paul Verhoeven.
