Robert Pattinson is Daredevil?
David Slade directed Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse last year, and it seems there is "some kind of talk" about Robert Pattinson reuniting with the director for Daredevil. Robert Pattinson is currently shooting his last movie as the vampire Edward Cullen, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
The Untitled Daredevil Reboot is said to be a "close cousin" to other superhero reboots. Here's what an inside source recently had to say about David Slade's pitch for the reboot.
"It's a bit (like) Batman Begins. The bad guy will learn who Daredevil really is and tries to destroy him - but not via the usual methods."
Of course, none of this has been confirmed by the studio as of yet. The Untitled Daredevil Reboot will certainly be a hot commodity and we'll have to wait and see what actors start to circle the project.
Untitled Daredevil Reboot comes to theaters in 2012.

If I saw this article when it was posted back a year ago I would have laughed my ass off. Now that I've seen Pattinson in movies such as Water for Elephants, Bel Ami, and the trailer for Cosmpolois....I wouldn't be so upset if this happened. He's a good actor in my opinion.

I'm a huge HUGE Daredevil fan and I'm not feeling this guy as him. Maybe because he comes off as a girly man in Twilight. I just want to see the other choices. Man, I just wished Marvel got back full movie rights to Daredevil.

No one told me this article was here, so I left my thoughts on the Aronofsky leaving Wolverine article. Suffice it to say, I am not a fan of Pattinson getting this role. At all.

If Guy Pierce was Matt Murdock and someone like Luc Besson or Aronofsky was a director I'd run outside in my birthday suit laughing hysterically like Jack Nicholson. Honest to god truth.

The Narrator: The Better Man
It's not a question of whether or not he's a good actor. Pattinson has proved himself in several indie roles, and we need not argue about his Twilight role, as we all know he has pretty much nothing to work with.
That's not the problem. What IS the problem, is the fact that he doesn't embody Matt Murdock AT ALL, much less Daredevil. While great actors adapt to their roles, I think we all know that Tony Stark wouldn't be the popular character he is today without Downey Jr's natural embodiment of the character. The role of Daredevil, and more-so Matt Murdock, needs an actor that's both similar to Murdocks characteristics, and able to embody his emotional output. Pattinson is NOT Daredevil. Period.
Give me Pearce, or give me... yeah, just give me Pearce.

@joker926...yeah man, thats a shame he left, Wolverine wouldve been awesome under his guidance, but Fox doesnt know what they lost and just see it as " ok hes gone, well just get someone else to step in", and Fox is underhanded, how so u say? heres what was said as to how they kept the rights of DD with them for 7 years instead of reverting it back to Marvel Studios...
" Fox retained "Daredevil" rights by keeping the project in development over the years; had it not, rights would've reverted to Marvel Studios, which Disney acquired for $4 billion in 2009. Same goes for "Fantastic Four," for which Fox is eyeing new installments"

The Narrator: The Better Man
He's a talented actor, with the right material. However, he's not suited for this role. He's both too young, and unfit for the role of Murdock as he doesn't have any likeness to the character at all. Pearce, or someone as appealing.

Yeah, Cooper wouldn't be a bad choice; at least he can act. >.> I just hope this just spills over and stops as quickly as Aronofsky did for Wolverine 2. Which I'm very sorry to hear about. :(

Let me put this delicately: rumors will only stay rumors without the Big Marvel Stamp. We so far heard of a new Daredevil reboot coming into play, and so for a couple of years now; so the fact that a Slade Daredevil movie maybe possible. That being said, I will say I hope that it's only rumor.
Twilight Fans will probably be screaming their cute little heads off right now to the thought, but let's be honest: not one Twilight fan on these boards and my knowledge, has probably ever read a Daredevil comic book, seen the movie that I honestly thoroughly enjoyed and still stand up for, or has the capacity to determine if this is a good choice or know what a good film is exactly. Too all Twilight fans out there who think this is the MOST AMAZING CHOICES MARVEL'S MADE YET, or believe, THIS IS AWESOME, I'll gladly smirk and tell every single one of you that you're all full of sh*t.
I can understand why they mean to reboot a movie like Spiderman after the third film (Webb has all of my blessings) and even restart Daredevil to make a more vast improvement. But if Marvel or which ever cinema production credits this idea of David Slade and Robert Pattinson creating a comic book hero I've loved since childhood, I'll gladly brush this off my shoulders and move along my business. I won't even take another glance of photos, news, trailers, any of the sort; I won't have morons in the movie business waste my time with this kind of crap, and gladly dedicate my life to only reading/watching DC movies and comics.
As an angry nerd, I'll give them hell and boycott the F*CK out of this film.

If they plan on doing right this time, then Fox should not go with Pattinson. They need a more mature actor. But then again, It is Fox. They always find a way to f*ck up almost everything.

... eh ok... I'll reserve judgment til I see Water for Elephants. From that movie, I'll judge whether he'd make a good DD.
