Actor Rob Corddry is in talks to join the cast of director Michael Bay's heist drama Pain and Gain for Paramount Pictures.

The story centers on Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg's characters, two bodybuilders who set up an elaborate extortion scheme which goes horribly wrong. Rob Corddry will portray John Mese, a former bodybuilder who now owns the gym where Mark Wahlberg's character trains at. He gets unwillingly roped into the extortion scheme because of his background as an accountant and notary.

Michael Bay is directing Pain and Gain from a script by Captain America: The First Avenger writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The screenplay is based on a true story, which was told through a series of articles in the Miami New Times.

Michael Bay is also producing Pain and Gain alongside Donald De Line, with production scheduled to begin this spring in Miami.

Pain & Gain was released April 26th, 2013 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Tony Shalhoub, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Bar Paly, Rebel Wilson. The film is directed by Michael Bay.
