Rob Corddry is joining the cast of the sports comedy, Semi-Pro for New Line Cinema; DeRay Davis also signed on to the flick.

They'll star opposite Will Ferrell, Will Arnett, Woody Harrelson and Andre Benjamin in the film set in the world of the final days of the American Basketball Association. The Hollywood Reporter notes it follows Jackie Moon (Ferrell), the owner-coach-player of the fictional Flint Michigan Tropics; Moon must lead his team on a desperate attempt to make it to the big leagues. Corddry will play Harrelson's nemesis, the man who is dating his ex-girlfriend; Davis is a player who showboats on court, getting many fouls.

New Line exec Kent Alterman is directing the Scot Armstrong script; shooting on Semi-Pro is scheduled to start later this month in Los Angeles.

Semi-Pro was released February 29th, 2008 and stars Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, André Benjamin, Maura Tierney, Andrew Daly, Will Arnett, Andy Richter, David Koechner. The film is directed by Kent Alterman.
