Ridley Scott's Nottingham Gets Delayed

Ridley Scott's take on the Robin Hood story, Nottingham, starring Russell Crowe as the Sheriff of Nottingham, was readying for a mid-August start date in London, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, production has been put on hold.

It could not be immediately determined if the changes foreshadow a postponement or a cancellation. But Universal stated that the current version of the screenplay "is not yet where the studio and filmmakers want it to be in terms of realizing the full value of the story."

Sienna Miller was recently cast as Maid Marian, although there has been no official word yet about who would face off against Crowe in the role of Robin Hood.

Nottingham has been on track to make a release date of Nov. 6, 2009.

Robin Hood was released May 14th, 2010 and stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Max von Sydow, William Hurt, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Danny Huston, Eileen Atkins. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.

    He's not. He's been in 1 that I know of...and that was Gladiator lol. Orlando Bloom was in Kingdom of Heaven and Crowe wasn't in that so there!
