Ridley Scott producing The Man in the High Castle
Ridley Scott will produce the four-hour mini-series for the BBC, with Howard Brenton adapting Philip K. Dick's novel for the small screen. The Hugo Award-winning The Man in the High Castle is set in an alternate world where Nazi Germany and Japan's Axis powers actually defeated the American Allied forces in World War II.
Ridley Scott previously tackled the sci-fi worlds of Philip K. Dick directing Blade Runner in 1982, a loose adaptation of Dick's novel, "Do Androids Dream Electric Sheep?" It wasn't clear when this project would go into production or when they are planning on launching this four-hour mini-series on the BBC.
