Harrison Ford not being ruled out for Blade Runner follow-up
Today, Ridley Scott has come forward to address these rumors. While he claims that Harrison Ford is in fact, not in the early stages of coming aboard this continuation of what could become a Blade Runner franchise, he doesn't rule out the actor's involvement.
Apparently, Ridley's team of writers is hard at work hashing out the story, and they don't know what it is quite yet. A sequel? A prequel? A spin-off? If it makes sense for Rick Deckard to be a part of the story in some capacity, Ridley Scott would love to work with Harrison Ford once again, despite their well-known disagreements on the first film.
"We're still in discussions about whether it should be a prequel or sequel. It's an interesting conversation. I'm meeting with writers and I've also gone back to [original Blade Runner screenwriter] Hampton Fancher and he still speaks the speak. He's right there. I spoke with him this week. But we don't even have a script yet."
The Prometheus director then directly addressed those pesky Harrison Ford rumors. Is he in early talks?
"No. Don't know yet. Don't know yet. [But I don't rule it out.] Absolutely not. I'm not sure that that's going to be a story point, so I don't know. But if it were, nothing would please me more. Honestly. I don't know [if Deckard will return].
I just thought Prometheus was so enjoyable - returning to the world of science fiction was so fun - that I wanted to [go back to Blade Runner, too]. I'm also thinking about what the hell I might do for a Prometheus 2."

When asked directly if there will be a Prometheus 2, he gave the following response.
"[Knocks the wood coffee table and grins]"

Man I really hope Fox doesn't chicken up with a PG-13 rating for Prometheus

Prime reason why producers should not talk about movies in the works to be made. The writers and Directors will determine characters in the film. He should have just said he dose not know about him being in the movie, but knows there has not been any talks yet.
