Rhino Suit Revealed in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Set Photos

Peter Park gets help from a young boy in a Spider-Man outfit on the New York City set of director Marc Webb's sequel.
Paul Giamatti is seen wearing his pre-CGI Rhino suit in the latest shots from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is currently shooting in New York City. While we still don't know what The Rhino will look like, once all the special effects are included, these shots indicate this villain is certainly a force to be reckoned with. Andrew Garfield is also seen interacting with a young actor, who is sporting his own Spider-Man costume, and Emma Stone is seen kissing the webbed wonder on the set. Take a look at the latest shots from the set of director Marc Webb's superhero sequel.

Andrew Garfield is so freakin' skinny as Spider Man. How can he look like anything but a temporary speedbumb in Rhinos path of destruction? Paul Giamatti is like, "What the Hell am I strapped to? They said not to worry, it will look cool.....".

Except for Cold Souls, in which Paul Giamatti played an actor named Paul Giamatti (Ouch!), I really can't imagine Giamatti doing sci-fi, or being a kick-ass comic book villian. Maybe, I just respect him too much for Sideways. Please God, let this be a huge blockbuster, for Giamatti's sake.

Remember in The Amazing Spiderman, when Andrew Garfield was making all of those goofy, quirky faces to Emma Stone? What the Hell was that all about? Sorry, I just had to put that out there.

@monkeyiron2-0 Definitely, Raimi's trilogy was ok, but if would have benn great if not for Spider-Man 3, the movie was good, but too many villains and Topher Grace was just awful.

After some thought, I like how they're using two non-top tier villains in this film. I don't think Electro or Rhino could carry the film as the only villain, but as a team they should creat many problems for Spider-Man. I still hope Gwen does not die in this film. The problem all of these franchises have is trying to bottle everything into trilogies. Don't try to fit everything into a set number of films. If a fourth film is needed to tell a coherent, free flowing story, then do that.

in movies they do that so the actor can talk and have a sense on how tall the character is, example in transformers, shia would talk to a 22 ft pole with bumble bees head on top, so putting Paul on a platform and the thing on his head means that rhino will be huge!!

@Trangalanga10 maybe you are right the disease that is killing Gobby is probably cancer or some other deadly disease and I can tell that they are gonna put Ultimate verse in this movie as a year ago they had pics of Richards old lab locker

@Trangalanga10 Yeah i agree there. He doesn't need to be huge, but he should have some muscle.

@monkeyiron2-0 Peter's dad, created Venom to cure cancer and it all went wrong? that's a very realistic plot, if done the right way in film. the question remains does Norman Osborn have cancer? and he killed Richard and Mary Parker, for the unfinished cure, so he send Curt Connors to finish the limb regrowing experiment on his own without Richard's formula. Richard Parker was a very intelligent man in this universe, creating the cure for cancer, unfinished of course, because of the "accident", he breed the spiders, and worked with Connors on the limb regrowing experiment., If so that's a big plot to unravel in the trilogy, if done right this could be an amazing trilogy.

@Trangalanga10 Naw that would to cliche to do don't you think. I believe the 3rd film will reveal Venom and that can reveal exactly why Pete's dad disappeared because in the Ultimate universe. His dad created the symbiote to cure cancer that can make sense in the movie series

  22. Trangalanga10

    @supermanvenom Couldn't agree more.
Also I think Garfield should have a workout a little bit more, for muscles, since the producers are telling the story from high school to college, for a human his body will mature, but for him being a superhuman, his body needs to mature, we could even see his 6 arms and him working for a cure, not taking away his abilities of course, only the transformation, they should do something like that or at least make him grow some muscle.

    11 months agoby @Trangalanga10Flag

  23. supermanvenom

@Trangalanga10 It could still be transformation and this is used as a reference for later cg. Either way i think it'll be awesome.

@monkeyiron2-0 Agree, I was hoping for the rhino transformation, but it suits, robotic suit from Oscorp, by the ending they show Norman transforming into the green goblin, I hope.

@the-movieghost: Agreed on Giamatti. He's a dramatic/dark comedy actor. This role is certainly a strange addition to his resume, and while I really am a big fan of his work, I'm on edge about this. It's like it's gotta be some childhood dream for him or something cause he's demoting his talent here.
