Milla Jovovich will return as Alice
This film marks the second appearance in Toronto for the franchise. Paul W.S. Anderson is writing and directing Resident Evil: Retribution, with Milla Jovovich returning as Alice.
Resident Evil: Retribution comes to theaters September 14th, 2012 and stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Boris Kodjoe, Colin Salmon, Michelle Rodriguez, Shawn Roberts, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand. The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

Despite some minor script issues, RE4 is in fact, of of the closest movies to be on line with the games. If you play RE5 and 4, you will see some very inline things in the movie. The problem is, RE is not your basic Zombie movie line. The games are about a pharmacitucal company trying to get a medication for the cure for, well death. While most Zombie movies are undefined. Meaning, no one knows how the came to be. Biblical, supernatural, mystical, ect. The issue with RE3 movies on, is there is a world wild outbreak that has all but killed of humanity. The games atleast, show the outbreak is mostly contained with accidental releases or rouge agents using it.
@jasonkat It said Jill is in the works to be back, the character. But Selena has yet to be resigned, and soo the character may be re-cast. Click on the pick with Paul and Milla just above the comment space, and it says it. But your right on with your assessment of the RE movies. Why shouldnt they get someone like the guy who did Underworld movies. RE was dark and good. But they all tryed to give Alice to many super natural powers. Should be more Zombies and less killing with mind powers. But I dont mind Alice that much. Just want to see Chris in them for now on, since he is now in the movies and is a major character in the games. I want to see Leon also added. So you get Chris, Jill, Leon, and Clair. All in one movie. I want to see them as the form the B.S.S.A. >:)

I would wait until the movie is released and until i've seen it, to say it is the worst movie of the Resident Evil franchise, although keep in mind that i do know you said worst film series, not the worst movie of the Resident Evil franchsie.

In my option. RE should b rebooted, it should be called
"RESIDENT EVIL:, follow by
"RESIDENT EVIL:2: SURVIVAL
"RESIDENT EVIL 3: AFTER SHOCK
"RESIDENT EVIL: A NEW BEGINING. act.
And all these films should have the SAME characters as the games and not all at onces, just saying, the leads should b the same as the games, not alice or sum new person. It should b gory, rated r and it should n intended for adults, not kids or teens,

didnt i read sumwhere that Sienna Guillory would not be returning as jill? or did she get recasted back? And can sumbody tell me why a guy like Paul W.S. can still b getting this project when really theres alot better directors out there who can get this right. ?
I mean i love resident evil im a big fan of the games and stuff, i love all these movies so much but it sucs that the game and movie dont =. Paul Should have just made his own lil zombie movie w his wife and create his own zombie flick, that would have been awsome as hell. it would have been like "underworld", which is not a copy or reboot or anything, its a new breed. because when u take a game like say...."scooby doo" but u dont give us shaggy, fred, valma, or daphne, just scooby, thats not really scooby doo. its missing top stars, know wat i mean? they r just giving us the main actor and throwing in sumbody new to take the lead, So really alice is a great lead but not in RE just in her own movie.
