A while back I heard that after RE: Afterlife that the series is going back to Raccoon City before the events or was that during the first film. Anyway, I would be glad for it since it's rumored to have a true horror director attached to it.
I better look that up again.

See, I have mixed feelings about the series, of course RE was amazing since it was action packed, and it was as REAL as a zombie film like this could get. The second, and third ones were just out there. Especially with the powers. It just made the plot more amateurish, and childish. However I did really enjoy the second one, because it brought back memories when I was playing RE2 and RE3 when I was a child, but with RE:AL to see cloned Alices... come on. we all know they went totally 'cartoon network' on that sh*t. They made the last two for the 'magical' lovers instead of the true fans, the 'horror' lovers. Now what I want to see in the RE series is a total reboot, based on the video gamers like George A. Romero was originally gonna do, but other then that as a RE fan... I am always (sadly to say) am ready for another movie.

the first three weren't really dark in tone, though I enjoyed them, I would like to see a edgier film and have a good zombie film rather than point and shoot. When you think about it, the horror tone is not even there.

Extinction sucked... hard. I have no desire to see this movie. I am, however, eager to see Nightmare on Elm Street.

Because the story continues, Avian. They have been planning this movie since before RE: Extinction ever came to theaters! Plot threads were left unresolved at the end of Extinction. The Alaska and Tokyo plot threads needed a last movie to fully resolve. The whole series is one big story, and its not over yet. BTW nice Harley Quinn avatar.
