Resident Evil 5 will hit theaters in 3D on September 14, 2012
We reported back in November that Resident Evil: Damnation, an animated sequel to the 2008 movie Resident Evil: Degeneration, will also hit theaters in 3D sometime in 2012. You can

Anderson directed the first Resident Evil in 2002 and the most recent installment, Resident Evil: Afterlife. He also produced Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction, although it isn't clear if he will return to direct or produce Resident Evil 5.
Resident Evil: Retribution comes to theaters September 14th, 2012 and stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Boris Kodjoe, Colin Salmon, Michelle Rodriguez, Shawn Roberts, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand. The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

NO! If there was ever going to be a Resident Evil movie back in 2002 it would have had someone from the game series as our main character, not an entirely new character to carry us through now five movies.

i hope it follows the game that took place in Africa even though i doubt it would, i think a spin off of characters would be cool one seeing it from Alice's point of view and then Chris but that defiantly wont happen

No, this is the fifth live action film. Resident Evil Degeneration was Capcom's story that took place between the 4th and 5th video games.

im sure there r die hard resident evil fans out there, im 1 of em, and i love these resident evil games and movies, even the cgi film as well. I see nothing wrong w these films, they r fun popcorn movies. However, You know just as well as i know that these films r not 100% resident evil. they just started throwing in.. game casters just to pls us (the fans). A real resident evil would b much darker and have sum good twist in it. rather than 1 of those "i already know whats gonna happen" movie

Everybody knows her story, she main events these flicks only cause of her hubby. If sumbody "professional" did such a film. he/she would stay true to the game's main people like Leon, Chris Redfield, Claire as well as those we already seen like jill, Wesker ect. But w/out alice. do this over. A more scaryer, bloodyer, intense, edge-of-ur seat horror survival type of film. w/out actually havinga damn group save the day, yet "1 person"
