It is expected that Paul W.S. Anderson is going to return as director, but no official announcement has been made.
Resident Evil: Retribution comes to theaters September 14th, 2012 and stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Boris Kodjoe, Colin Salmon, Michelle Rodriguez, Shawn Roberts, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand. The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

@iamfratson I'm not a douche... I'm just trying to say that the Resident Evil movies are so bad, that they shouldn't be made anymore. I'm not trying to be an *sshole. But its people like emmyt that make these studios make more of these fail movies. I'm a big fan of the games! i played all 5, and for the life of me i just want to see a good decent Resident Evil movie, that is related to the game and isn't directed by Paul. These movies are just fail with cheesy and cliched storyline and directing. I'm sorry Emmytt if i came to hard on you, but i wasn't in a good mood when i said what i said, and i do apologize.

Are these movies blasphemy? Yes they are. The only thing I'll give them credit for is the continuity they've established, using the same people for the same roles in their continuing, blasphemous story they've created.

@masta-chiefed - First of all, I dont know anyone who didnt playing RE growing up as a kid. And like I said, take the movie for what it is: Fun, popcorn flick. If I honestly sat here, taking every movie seriously of what I wanted it to be, I'd sound like the majority of people who bitch about every single movie that comes out.

Like stated below by some, @jasonkat @guardian117 to name a few, these movies are fun, enjoyable, brainless (no pun intended) popcorn flicks. Obviously tehy are not going to be on teh same page as the video games. And if anyone truly expected the series to be exactly like the games, which takes HOURS to play and tell the story, your bigger idiots than I thought. They are enjoyable, bankable movies. That is what Hollywood does. FF series people hate. Me? Personally? I really enjoy them. Why? Because they have action, fast cars, and hot chics. I dont know about many of you, but I can spend hours watching that.
That being said, I cant wait to see this. Afterlife was great. Take the movies for what they are, not for what they arent people. Could they be better? Sure. Am I over it? Yes.
It amazes me for how many people hate this movie, they waste so much time arguing with the people who do. Example #1 is @ownsin - news flash...YOUR A DUECHE!!! And you join the ranks of sooooooo many others on this site. Go ahead, argue with us, talk sh*t, make fun, DO YOUR WORST!!! The point is its not gonna change anyones opinion, so quick wasting your time.

amen @guardian . These movies r meant to b brainless-popcorn-fun, Not serious. We all want a good zombie flick, Sum day we will get a good resident evil film like that, but for the time being.. this is still fun to watch. and enjoy. Really if people hate it, diss it, or bbitch about them, then wtf r u watching em?. Its simple..if u rather watch twilight than this then go ahead, lol nobodys stoping you. As for Sienna Guillory, im glad this chick came back as jill. i hate getting replaceable actors/actresses. So this should b good. kinda if Milla Jovovich. if she was to get replaced as alice, i know a million people who would love that but really, that would suck cause she is resident evil. its not resident evil w/out her. or atleast not in these films. So re5 should b kool. more action, more zombie, and more game-based characters like ashley from re4. or watever 5 that1 girl. hopfully no 3d, but im sure that will happen, blah. lol

I'm glad she's gonna come back, then again i knew she was gonna return after the end of AFTERLIFE, which, by the way, was the best of the series. haha. guys, RE is just one of those movies that people should just have fun with it, like i do. Yes, they couldve been better, but it was good enough for me to enjoy. Its not like i expected these movies to be excellent or oscar worthy, i just expect them to be enjoyable enough for me to watch. if people dont like these movies, then its fine, thats their opinion, and there will always be different opinions on each movie. no one should call out the other just because they have a different opinion than the other does. so, in my opinion, the RE movies are just fun. except the 2nd one, that one needed work. :p cant wait for RE5!

What to me is funny, is people say words like "fail" which is slang for 14 year olds, and then say someone dosn't have a taste in movies..lmao..... The first RE movies was good. Second two was action wise good, but over all story bad. But they all hold things close to, in parts, to the games. I am more looking forward to this then about any other video game movie to be made, other then Uncharted, which may be messed up with to much main story plot line changes.
