The highly anticipated sequel to one of the scariest films of all time, [REC] 2 picks up 15 minutes from where we left off, taking us back into the quarantined apartment building where a terrifying virus has run rampant, turning the occupants into mindlessly violent, raging beasts. A heavily armed SWAT team and a mysterious government official are sent in to assess and attempt to neutralize the situation. What they find inside lies beyond the scope of medical science-a demonic nightmare of biblical proportions more terrifying than they could have possibly imagined. Above all it must be contained, before it escapes to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world outside.
[REC] 2 was released July 9th, 2010 and stars Jonathan Mellor, Manuela Velasco, Óscar Zafra, Ariel Casas, Alejandro Casaseca, Pablo Rosso, Pep Molina, Andrea Ros. The film is directed by Jaume Balagueró, Paco Plaza.

There is more "than" one, but "then" there comes another one. usually.
Anyhows, they never actually call the zombies zombies in some of these films having no zombies, (like 28 days) and sometimes not even in the ones where there really are zombies.
And most surprisingly for most perhaps, from a technical point "real zombies" are not dead at all, making the non zombies the most realistic ones... :)

they are classified as zombie movies, theres more then one type then just the voodoo and dead zombies, but, they are a virus type of zombie, like 28 days later, where blood or saliva, or in this case, from the preview, they might be like demonic zombies like the Evil Dead Series

[REC], [REC]2, and QUARANTINE are not zombie movies. The people in the building were infected with a virus. They're not dead. The movies are all scary, though.

Clockwork, first of all I didn't say anything about the ending, you didn't even read what I said, Spanish wasn't better its equally as good, their both good zombie movies, ones that better FX then the other, ones got better actors and acting then the other you dis-acknowledging it just because its a readaptation for American audience, same movie though

I've already seen it, it's just as good as the 1st one and I agree with you "Clockworkcoockie" the Spanish version of the number one film is way much better than the american version and the climax made me shiver at that old lady-man-whateve PS and the spanish actress that takes off the news reporter is much hotter ;D It's obvious that these films have taken inspiration from the Italian horror films "Demons" and "Demons 2" made in the 80's

Rec and Rec 2 are probably the two best horror movies in the last 10 years, even up against some of Japan's finest. 'Let The Right In' was equally as fantastic but the Rec movies had a level of suspense I've been wanting in a horror movie for years. Rec 3 hopefully will follow suit.

Blizzard - I can't believe you honestly liked the american ending better. The spanish one was 100 times scarier because the creature looked far more creepy. And in a FP POV movie, the FX aren't really THAT important, since all you see is things flashing by the screen.
vacaslocas - That was a huge spoiler. But I saw it too and I agree with you there.

I like this, I also like REC and Quarantine equally (one of the best zombie movies I have seen since the original Dawn of the dead of Night of the Living Dead remake) they are basically the same movie, I have to say the american version is a little better, causes it had better FX, but the Spanish version has more pull in, cause non of the actors are well know, still hate the shaky camera

@Masta_Chiefed, yep I've seen that Amazing movie too!! It was so moving and well great :D too bad that when the American version comes out many people will not have any clue about the original and even worse they will claim that the movie is a ripoff to twilight =/ LET THE IGNORANCE BEGIN =(

@ Bawnianxyz , yep Quarantine was the american remake of REC but get this REC came out in spain in 2007, Quarantine 2008...that quick they made one...i mean Spain is on a roll with horror films

@ IamBATMAN, it is...This is probably one of the greatest sequels, i've witnessed in my life. This movie just blew me away. I saw it and I could not process any of it, it was just so awesome, so perfect, sooo aaahh EPIC. I cannot wait for the 2 upcoming sequels and last ones :)
